UpBeat Events is excited to announce that the Act-Belong-Commit Zig Zag Community Arts Festival returns to Kalamunda on Sunday October 28 – refreshed and revitalised. On the day, a crowd of 20,000 is expected to descend upon Kalamunda to celebrate the best the hills has to offer.
This years reinvigorated festival will bring a carnival-like atmopshere in an even bigger way and will involve entertainment and live music, food and craft stalls and even children’s activities.
Some highlights of the festival include five stages filled with live music, with Odette Mercy and her Soul Atomics headling the festival, local art exhibitions, plenty of family-friendly attractions including face painting, a kids zone and free activities, local business specials and market stalls, and an exciting five metre tall fire breathing dragon!
The festival will open in Stirk Park from 10am until 5pm, with the Town Centre opening from 3pm until 8pm. Three stages will feature on Haynes Street, one on Barber Street, another near Central Mall as well as the main stage located at the top of the hill, which will feature this years parade and the headline acts.
The Act-Belong-Commit Zig Zag Community Arts Festival is hosted by the City of Kalamunda, presented by the Zig Zag Community Arts and is supported by Healthway, Lotterywest and Perth Airport.
